Christmas 2016 Portraits
I wanted to try my hand at shooting in a studio environment. I set up a couple of off-camera speedlights--the key shooting into a 7' white umbrella and a fill light into a small umbrella. I gave the kids a bunch of props and told them to have fun. The exposure is dead-on (for the slightly ethereal look I was going for) and I like the catchlight on the red nose. Composition is just mediocre. It's here though because I smile everytime I see Henry looking like a hastily-assembled Mr. Potatohead.
